Question about Casablanca and MGM’s movie during that time?

I’m currious to know, when Casablanca was filmed at the time the studios owned the actors they borrowed Ingrid from MGM and in return WB let MGM borrow Olivia de Havilland I’m currious to know what movie MGM made at that time with Olivia while Casablanca was being made by WB.

Anyone know?

  1. Flutter Bot Says:

Casablanca was released in 1942, which either means that the film was being shot in early 1942 or 1941. There were three movies that Olivia did in 1941.
    Hold Back the Dawn
    The Strawberry Blonde
They Died with Their Boots On
She also starred in two movies in 1942
    In This Our Life
    The Male Animal

Ingrid was under contract with David O. Selznick, not with MGM…
Selznick borrowed Olivia from Warner Bros. in April 1942, for eight weeks, but he didn’t use her. He loaned De Havilland to RKO for "Government Girl".
